Trucking Driver/Equipment Shortage & Rail Terminal Delays/Congestion is now greatly affecting the movement of FCL freight through the country.   The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) has been hit extremely hard recently as we have experienced a massive shortage of equipment and drivers for FCL handling and deliveries. Drivers looking to return empty containers are waiting in queue for long amounts of time and also being  turned away from the terminals.  This is forcing chassis and equipment to be tied up and in many cases this has caused many truckers to be unable to arrange deliveries that have been setup in advance and unable to accept new delivery orders as well.

Railroads serving Kansas City are struggling to handle import containers coming from Southern California amid chassis shortages and maxed-out warehouses, according to draymen and cargo owners. It marks the second consecutive year of supply chain disruptions in the Midwest hub.
